If you want to provide the most benefit to our pollinators with the least effort, start with this plant.

Largely deer, rabbit, and squirrel resistant (we've had a few incidents where young plants have been nibbled on, but only when it was the only green thing around). It's purple flowers start blooming early, will continue blooming throughout the growing season, and are usually abuzz with all sorts of bees and other pollinators.
